Handwoven Natural Dye Stole Indigo
Handwoven by Kubsa's artisan Janakka on the pit looms of Guledgudda, a small town in Karnataka, using dobby mechanism, this naturally dyed stole is replete with motifs inspired by local flora, fauna and everyday objects. This piece is enhanced with Ane hejje (elephant footprints in Kannada) motif and uses silk in the warp and cotton in the weft. Kubsa is reviving the traditional Khanna weaving by supporting the entire ecosystem of this handloom cluster.
