Listed on Flourish, this brand adheres to principles of ethical manufacturing. Solayi is an Indian artisanal jewellery brand based out of Jaipur. It was created with a desire to create unique accessories and jewellery. The brand name, Solayi (our localized spelling of the French word “soleil” or sunshine, light, luminescence) best conveys our philosophy; to create chic products that exude radiance when you wear them. You may notice fine golden threadwork in many of our products which symbolizes this luminosity. Solayi is my mother's venture. She is a homemaker who always wanted to start a small business that allowed her to express her creativity to the world. She does not have any professional training in designing jewellery but is highly inventive and has a fantastic sense of aesthetics. Having grown up in a small town of Rajasthan, she has a deep knowledge of indigenous artisans and their skills. When she set out to find people to work for her, she easily bonded with local handicraft persons, tailors, and weavers and wanted to generate employment for those who had lost their jobs due to the pandemic.
