It is made from the stalk of flax plants that do not need any pesticides or fertilizers to grow. For every 2.5 acres of flax plantation, 3700 kgs of carbon dioxide are removed from the atmosphere. To put this in perspective, with all the carbon dioxide removed from the atmosphere by one year of flax plantation in Europe, you could drive around the world 22,600 times!
