The brand, Manvi - The Handmade, was conceived in 2007, by Sujata Enterprises to promote aesthetic handcrafted products for the modern woman. Celebrating the age-old art of “Chikankari”, the traditional hand embroidery of the Awadh region, present-day Lucknow city, and surrounding areas, Manvi - The Handmade, works with women artisans. They offer beautifully handcrafted outfits that are a perfect fusion of traditional hand embroidery and modern designs with soft and comfortable cotton.
Purpose
Chikankari is an art that takes years to master and pass on to future generations. Preserving and celebrating an age of art and heart, Manvi- the Handmade reimagines the delicate and ancient art of Chikankari, by bringing together European designers and Indian craftswomen to create garments through eco-friendly processes. Most of their products are handmade with 100% cotton, with a special focus on comfort, softness, and design.
People
