‘Merakus’ is derived from the word Meracus, which means Pure, and it is also the essence of the brand. The core of the brand lies in minimalism, naturalness, and the distinct quality of products across categories.

Every artisan, worker, or employee associated with them, holds an important position in the brand. They are working to empower the women weavers from Kutch - Gujarat, and Maheshwar - MP, and also the Hand block printers, Natural-Dyeing Masters, and other skilled workers by ensuring consistent work directly and assuring fair wages.
They use all natural fabrics such as Cotton, linen, and jute. All fabrics are hand dyed using low impact dyes or 100% natural dyes.
