Founded in 2018, Pacha Life Design Studio operates in the quaint village of Thrikkaipetta in Kerala's Wayanad district. The name "Pacha," meaning 'green' or 'raw' in Malayalam, reflects the studio's dedication to sustainability. Utilizing eco-friendly materials such as bamboo, wood, mud, natural fibers, dry flowers, and twigs, Pacha Life Design Studio focuses on interior design, product creation, and construction. Collaborating closely with local artisans, the studio aims to foster sustainable livelihoods and provide these craftsmen with essential market access. Pacha Life Design Studio embodies a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, committed to both environmental and community well-being.
Purpose
As the name suggests, Pacha Life Design Studio is dedicated to green living. This diverse team of designers, thinkers, artisans, farmers, and masons is united in promoting a sustainable lifestyle, drawing daily inspiration from Kerala's rich flora, fauna, and biodiversity. Based in Thrikkaipetta, the "Bamboo Village," where tribal communities have long utilized bamboo in their daily lives, Pacha Life Design Studio focuses on this abundant resource to create innovative lifestyle products that blend traditional and contemporary elements. Beyond bamboo, the studio engages with various regional crafts and handlooms, striving to amplify the impact on local art, culture, and craftsmanship.

Pacha Life Design Studio operates with a 'People First' philosophy, embracing a human-centric approach in all endeavors. Collaborating closely with local farmers to source materials, the studio fosters personal connections with artists, craftsmen, and extended teams. Currently, Pacha Life Design Studio partners with 10 to 15 women and an additional 10 men artisans across various value chains, ensuring their well-being and empowerment. This commitment to personal engagement and community support underscores the studio's dedication to creating sustainable livelihoods while promoting the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of Kerala.
