Recycles resources
Purpose
Paiwand sees waste as a resource that is available around us in abundance and uses it in traditional craft techniques. They are contributing towards transforming the social and environmental standards in the fashion industry by developing conscious and meaningful textiles through an ethical and fair trade business model.
People
Paiwand’s mission is to revive and redefine handloom weaving in a new light while simultaneously creating employment opportunities for Indian weavers and artisans. Paiwand works in synergy with handloom weavers and artisans. They are focused on improving the livelihoods of the artisans by providing them fair wages and proper working conditions.
Planet
Paiwand follows a strict zero-waste policy. They upcycle fashion waste that would otherwise end up in landfills. They don’t use any dyes or chemicals in the process. Their production model is not dependent on water. One meter of Paiwand’s upcycled fabric consumes 300-500 grams of textile waste and saves 900 liters of water.
