See Sow arose from a shortage of resources for instilling positive mental health in children, particularly during and after the pandemic. The products blend interactivity and mindfulness, allowing children to touch, feel, play, and learn while using them. Interactivity in clothing has been shown to improve EQ and El in children. The products are backed by onboarded psychologists, and a section of our product range supports gender fluidity.
Purpose
See Sow’s purpose is to introduce and promote values like self-love, self-confidence, gratitude, emotional regulation, increased focus, etc. through the practice of mindfulness that can be inculcated from the garments at See Sow. The emphasis is on the importance of fostering values such as self-love, appreciation, self-expression, and self-awareness in kids. Interactivity in clothing has been shown to improve EQ and El in children. The products are backed by onboarded psychologists, and a section of our product range supports gender fluidity.
People
The main groups impacted by the products are groups of farmers, weavers, artisans, dyers, printers both digital and screen printers, and stitching artisans involved in production. They provide equal opportunities for women and actively remove barriers to participation. They provide equal pay for equal work as they set wages based on performance, not gender or other social categories.
Planet
From sourcing to shipping, each step in the product’s journey has been planned to create the least possible harmful environmental impact. Products can be recycled in at least 80% of communities with recycling facilities. Made from organic certified materials or ingredients. Fabrics are printed with an eco-friendly digital printing procedure that uses 90% less water than traditional digital printing methods. Screen printing has been done with azo-free dyes and pigments that do not harm the environment or the skin of the wearer.
