TreeWear's aim is to create products that are good for people as well as the planet. They have taken a lot of care to make sure the products are made using natural materials, eco-friendly packaging & responsible production methods. Not just that, for every product they sell, they contribute toward tree planting projects around the country, and that's a TreeWear promise.
Purpose
TreeWear's aim is to create products that are good for people as well as the planet. For trees that are being cut down, TreeWear aims to create awareness, plant brand new trees & make innovative eco-friendly products to help you make the shift to a greener, more natural lifestyle with ease. The product you buy is made with natural materials, has been responsibly made with the utmost care to ensure zero-waste material is produced. They also ensure that proceeds from your product will contribute towards a new tree at one of the afforestation/reforestation projects within India.
People
At TreeWear the aim is to have a positive social impact by providing members of women self-help groups in rural Maharashtra with the appropriate skills and tools required to manufacture our high-quality natural alternatives. They hope to strengthen this process and have a wider impact as we keep innovating products that support rural communities by connecting them to urban customers. They currently have 1 full-time male artisan and 10 part-time female artisans.
Planet
At TreeWear, each product has been thought through, from ingredient to packaging, to ensure that they create as little waste as is possible. Upcycling & Recycling are at the core of the philosophy - we are constantly finding innovative ways to use discarded materials. They take steps to ensure that they waste as little as possible and are constantly trying to find new ways to avoid using plastic when packaging the products. The discharge from manufacturing processes is used to safely water plants and the packaging of their raw materials is responsibly recycled.
