People
Windie’s ethos explicitly dictates that the garment workers are as important as the wearers. From source to style, Windie’s process partners are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certified. GOTS ensures that the workers (from every part of the chain)working in certified units are working under excellent conditions, without any duress. For any production house to be certified under GOTS, it is compulsory that their workers get paid fairly, are never exposed to toxic chemicals, are not discriminated against based on caste or gender, and have ample space for their voices to be heard.
Planet
Windie’s clothing will always be made with fabrics that give back to the planet, more than they take. Their very first collection ‘Via Earth’ houses garments made from 95-100% organic cotton. Organic cotton cultivation gives the soil of the land, a new lease of life. By way of using homegrown seeds, natural fertilizers, crop rotation, the works. It also keeps the ground-water fresh by not letting toxic chemicals run into the farm’s waste-water streams.
