Description
Initiated by the Crafts Council of Andhra Pradesh to support the livelihood of women artisans, this doll is created by Girija and her team of ten women on the banks of the Vasishta Godavari River, in a place called Narsapur, famous for its lace industry. Lovingly crocheted pretty lace skirts adorn this stylish Karuna. Her head and body are made from wood in the small village of Etikopakka, famous for its wooden toys.
