Purpose
Aame is a powerful testament to resilience, collective strength, and sustainable livelihoods. Founded by 75 determined women artisans from rural Andhra Pradesh, Aame Artisan Producer Co. Ltd. emerged in 2021 after a two-decade-long training initiative ended, leaving behind a legacy of skill and craftsmanship. Refusing to let their hard-earned expertise fade, these women joined hands to create a social enterprise rooted in empowerment and environmental responsibility. Aame produces beautifully handcrafted home décor and lifestyle products using natural fibers, plant-based dyes, and recycled materials. As proud members of the World Fair Trade Organization and Fair-Trade Forum India, they uphold ethical practices while fostering economic independence. Each product reflects not just artistry but the spirit of women who turned challenges into opportunities and are building a sustainable future—one handmade piece at a time.
