Himalayan Blooms is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in the rural villages of Champawat in the Central Himalayas, Uttarakhand, born out of a need to create alternative livelihoods for women to become financially independent and augment their household income through knitting, crochet and tailoring - skills they already possessed. But today, it is more than just that. This team of women are self- sufficient at running all aspects of the organization and reaching more than 200+ artisans . Many of them can maintain accounts, keep track of stock and create and email invoices to clients and suppliers and lead the enterprise confidently. The number of women working is now increasing organically by the day and the goal is to bring in more work to cater to their growing aspirations.
